Ohio Energy Resources Division
The Ohio Energy Resources Division works to grow the economy of the state by connecting companies and communities to financial and technical resources to deploy renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency.
The Ohio Department of Development's Energy Resources Division administers incentive programs through the Advanced Energy Fund to support investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in the industrial, commercial, agricultural, public, and residential sectors.
Due to limited funding, support through the Advanced Energy Fund for individual projects will not be at the same incentive level or offered in the same manner as in previous years. Rather, the Ohio Energy Resources Division will offer new strategies and programs that are better aligned with market conditions, complement other incentive programs available to Ohioans and model options from other high-performing state clean energy funds.
With the new programs expected to be released in fall 2011, the Advanced Energy Fund aims to support and promote projects that will improve the economic welfare of the state by reducing energy costs and by reducing energy usage in a cost-efficient manner using both the most appropriate national standards and best practices for the use of technology, products, services in the context of the total facility. More information will be available once details are finalized.
