OSW Webinar: The Role and Needs of Private Investors in Offshore Wind Finance
September 14, 2011
1:00pm — 2:30pm Eastern
Offshore wind (OSW) can play a significant role as a contributor to the US expansion in renewable power generation. Perhaps the most significant barrier is addressing financing.
To examine the offshore wind financing gap and possible solutions, the Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA), the US Department of Energy, and the US Offshore Wind Collaborative (USOWC) are hosting a series of OSW finance webinars. The webinars are designed to advance thinking and identify solutions to meet the financial challenges needed to make the United States a global leader in offshore wind energy.
Webinar 3: The Role of States and Needs of Private Investors in Offshore Wind Finance
This webinar will examine the financing issue from the perspective of private investors. Who could invest? What will it take to make them invest? How to address financing and technology risks? What role does the investment community believe that state and federal government policy should play?
